Dogs Bark because it is fun... It isn't really he way they talk
In the wild dogs bark only when they are puppies. When the get to a certain age they only communicate with yips, yap, Growls Howls and posturing.
Which is why many animal biologists believe that most domesticated dog breeds (not all breeds bark unless They are playing) are in an perpetual state of puppyhood. You'll notice the more dominant breeds bark the least.

to alert you of danger, scare off intruders or other animals, they bark when playing, when they want something, or bark when you train them such as speak. dogs bark simply because that is their only way to be heard.

there could be several reasons; that is how they talk, they are bored or scared ,and are trying to alert their owners of potential danger.
