Not looking for KFC, POPEYES or any well known brand. I want to know a little restaurant or out of the way place.

I like the fried chicken at the Dairy Kool resturant in Raceland, LA. It is a podunk town that has little other than sugarcane farming in southern Louisiana about an hour drive from New Orleans. The place isn't very clean and the atmosphere is non-existant. However the fried chicken deep fried in pure lard is devine. It is made to order as you purchase it and it takes about 20-30 minutes too cook. You can even specify how much you like it cooked as people here tend to like it fried a bit longer to turn it very brown. I used to work for the state of louisiana and I've tried fried chicken all over this state and Mississippi. Obviously I know of other places but you said out of the way.

in what city or state if you come to maryland i would say watsons or tom and rays or trouts,,,,
