I want to download some file to a place where they will be accessiable but not taking up space on my computer. I don't want to use the online sites. Please advise. Thanks

If you just need alittle storage space, try using a portible flash drive. If you need more storage, you might want to look into an external hard drive. Both of these can connect to your computer using an open USB port.

If it is just a file or a few files that you don't want to have directly accessible by your system, then the flash drive is the way to go. Simply plug it in to an available USB port to access what you save to it. You can get flash drives upto 4GB. Try:
