Two reasons. I hold my farts because
a.) They stink like hell
b.) You automatically get embarassed, even though people shouldn't be embarassed because everyone farts.

...i am a ventriliquist... i do it through somebody else's *ss and stand back and complain....i also manage to project the smell..
