Yes, it's a good paying job. Any company that's heavy in electronics/machinery needs electrical engineers.

Not any more. It's hard to compete with India and other countries, and whatever can be outsourced is being outsourced. But education in the sciences is quite valuable for your development as a human being.

If you do become an EE, I would suggest you work in the private sector, rather than a governmental or quasi-governmental "agency."

All engineers are in demand, especially the ones who have a graduate M.S.degree, or a Ph.D.I know of no one with a bachelor's degree in engineering who is lacking a job.
