I push religion in peoples faces because I got in trouble for pushing my breasts in their faces.
To the people above me who said something about posting this question in the religion and spirituality section of yahoo answers. Where in the hell else would you post this?
I think most people try to push their religion on others because if they are wrong they don't want to be the only one. Really let's face it. People aren't noramally inclined to share things that are really that good.

It seems everyone like to push things in your face; Christians as well as atheists.
For Christians, it stems from good intentions, but poor understanding of their own faith. They don't understand how insulting it is, or how they're really making things worse.
Some Christians see Jesus' commandment to be fishers of men. However, they only see people as "in" or "out". They only see people as potential converts. These kinds of Christians are more interested in 'saving' people than helping people.
Christians see that Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life." But instead of living the way Jesus lived, some Christians see that phrase as condemning other religions. (That's why so many Christians think they have a monopoly on religion - or at least the Religion Section of Yahoo Answers) But Jesus' harshest words were for the Pharisees (those who thought they were better for being religious).
When Paul went to Greece, he didn't condemn anyone. In fact, he took the time to learn the local religion and even complimented the locals on it. He then had a scholarly conversation with them about his religion.
There is a fundamental flaw if Christians think that they need to push their religion on other people.
I think a lot of people have been alienated and oppressed by Christians. That is why, on the other side of the coin, people are so bitter about it. Christians are notorious for attacking atheists, so atheists attack back. And then there's atheists trying to push their faith onto you too.
Disclaimer: I am a Christian.
On behalf of any Christians that have pushed religion in your face, I'm really sorry. They were giving the rest of us a bad name. I apologize to the atheists, as well.
God Bless. Love Wins.

In many religions and religious groups it's a sign of being a "good believer" to convince others to join.
And of course, the believers are made aware, that members of their believe are "more worth" than others.
The christian church was all the same in the Near East (around 1100 DC) and in Africa as well as in other newly discovered regions of the earth.

It's simple. It's their only way of existence. It is the only way they can feel righteous. By converting a few more every day, they are proving their beliefs correct. If no one believed them, they would soon begin to doubt their own beliefs and they would go insane. Believe me or not, try to imagine your life in which you had been living a lie.

Well, this is the religion section, so if you're going to put your face here, expect that this will happen! And if you think were so rude then go to another section. But I don't think you want to do that, because you're learning, and you like what you're learning, or you wouldn't be here to begin with. Jesus said to preach the word, and that's what we do! If you want to call it "getting it pushed in your face", then so be it! I'll keep right on pushing it in your face, just because your face is here. Jesus loves you, do you know that? And he loves the fact that I just told you that!..

They need to make you think their way 'cause if not, they would
not believe themselves too. Some feel "the others" are inferior; it
makes a good bussines to sell you their bible, but in order to do
it, they need to supress your individuality so they can handle
you whatever way and that's sexually exciting; besides, the hate
is what religions are often based upon so they show rage, and
some believe maybe without realizing, the doing of things toghe-
ther, in group is better and good to be fostered.

Well I have two answers for you. First answer. In the new testament, Jesus told his followers to become fishers of men. To go forth and spread his word. Christianity is founded on the tenant of converting everyone to it's religion. So Christians are following their church doctrine by getting in your face.
Second answer. Religion, any religion, only works if people believe in it. Therefore, there is significant motivation for them to get in your face to make you worship their beliefs. Once you accept their beliefs, it gives them power over you. It allows them to control your thoughts and ideas. And that makes them feel more comfortable, at the very least.
If they are doing it because they are following church doctrine, or if they are doing it because they want to tell you how to think, in either case, these individuals lack consideration for someone Else's boundaries. They consider it their right to cross any line to accomplish their goal.
Fortunately in the USA we have laws that prohibit their behavior in many circumstances. Our work places are protected and our homes are protected.

People should not go telling people they are wrong, but christianity is to become a witness to others, and help spread the good news and eternal life through Jesus Christ and faith. People are not here to judge, that is only for God to do, but we are here as Gods children to spread the good word.
