i tried all of that and still can't find it this sux

start button then all programs find it there
or
my computer/program files/then find yahoo,then find messenger,then click the icon
or just open my computer do a search for yahoo messenger
on your whole computer

Hi,
First, make sure that the Yahoo IM Program hasn't been deleted. You can do this by going to your Control Panel.
Then go to: Add/Remove Programs.
See if it's there...(usually down at the bottom of the list)....
If it is still there, that means only your desltop icon is gone....
this is easy to fix.
One way to fix it, is to go to your Start Menu.
Find Yahoo IM there.
Let the menu open, for example, mine says:
Yahoo Messenger,
and the Secondary menu opens and says:
Yahoo Messenger with Voice.
Right click on the secondary menu
and click: Add Create shortcut.
If the shortcut doesn't go to your desktop,
you can click on it and Drag it there.

the shorcut might just been deleted some how.. try this
My Computer> C Drive > Program Files > Yahoo! > right-click the yahoo messenger and point to (send to) then choose create shortcut "desktop"

You didn't lose it. Just go to "start" "search" (in C drive) and type in "yahoo messenger". When you see it in the list just drag it to your desktop.

try your system restore. Go to start, then to All programs, then find system restore, and follow directions. How ever I lost my yahoo account through hackers, had to start over with a new account...
