Ok people! religion is man-made, don't you know that! Saying you are a Christian means you believe in God and the Bible and that you pray. Just because you are not catholic or methodist or whatever does not mean that you are not a Christian!

I'm a Christian. (That is my "religion...") More specifically, I'm a "born-again" Christian (as opposed to be a Christian in name only...)

as for 'denomination', that I'm affiliated with - I'm not going to say. I'm still waiting for people to guess! lol (I asked that question a couple of days ago.)

I attend the church that I do, simply because I like their style of worship and their beleifs are the same as mine. What I mean is: According to my "understanding" of scripture, their doctrines, etc. fall in line.

also - a note to the Jehovah Witnesses...
You guys must be different than the crowd around here, because they don't believe JESUS was God...they perceive him as a prophet, or something (not equivalent to God - the Father)...therefor they are not "CHRISTians." (even though they call themselves that.)

Any group that 'strips' the deity away from CHRIST cannot honestly call themselves CHRISTian (which literally means "followers of Christ."

I am LDS (which is also Christian). You have a religious belief, you stated you are a Christian, which means a "Follower of Christ". You do not have to belong to an organized religion to be a Christian.

I can understand a person not belonging to a particular organized religion, but be careful when finding one to "suit you". Sometimes it is man that needs to change their ways to suit the Lord and not the other way around.

What are looking for in a church/religion? Churches should bring their members closer to God (or whatever their diety is). Are you looking for a place to just make friends, socialize, hang-out? Although you can do those things at a church, that is not their purpose. Take time to sit down and examine your religious beliefs. When you are investigating a church/religion try to find one that matches what you believe. Be opened-minded to what you hear and pray about making the right choice for you.

If you are not religious, how can you say you are a Christian? Christianity is a religion!!! If you find that none of them suit you, don't say that you are a Christian.
I am a Catholic Christian, and that is because God has touched my life, and I feel a connection to him. If you don't believe in Christianity, then I am sorry. But, don't say you are a Christian if you do not believe it.

I am a Christian, I attend with the Jehovah's Witnesses because out of all the Christendom churches, none of them drew me close to God. This is the only congregation I consider FOR ME, the truth, that lines up with Jehovahs word in the bible. I have sought out other churches like LDS,Baptist, non-denom, etc, but nevr found the spiritual happiness that i have found since attending the Kingdom hall (our service place)with the Jehovah's Witnesses.

I am Wiccan. I was raised Baptist, but then I became curious when some girls at school were talking about witchcraft. I read many books, and finally decided that it is the right religion for me. I have been a wiccan for 6 years now - my husband is wiccan as well. This is the religion that makes the most sense to me. It is not evil as I was raised to believe. It is a very peaceful, nature-oriented religion and it brings me great peace and comfort. Blessed be!

My religion is called the "Eternal Religion of Mankind" which does not fetter itself to any particular Place or Person or Time or Scripture. It respects all men of religion like Jesus or Mohammad or Buddha or Mahabir or Nanakdev and all scriptures like the BIble or Quran or Geeta or Granth sahib etc.
My religion says that religion is the manifestation of the divinity already present in every man You can manifest it by work or service or worship etc , by one or more or all of these and be free. This is the essence-Books ,churches, temples, mosques etc are only secondary details
My religion does not require me to subscribe to dogmas which affect my scientific temper

It gives the clarion call 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam--the whole world (Vasudha) is my Kutumba (Family)

I come from a Catholic family. I have always been a part of the Catholic community even after moving out of my parents town and I have remained a practicing Catholic because of the morals I have been taught, the faith I have developed and the larger family I have come to know, love and respect.

I am a Bible-believing Christian because I am convinced it is the truth. Keep in mind when choosing religion, it is not what you WANT to be true that matters, but what is actually true.

I believe that you are talking about a certain denomination, I am Lutheran because that is how I grew up practicing and it seems to work for me. I do not believe it matters to much but I do seem to have a problem with church's that seem to either add rules that are not listed in the bible or subtract rules because they seem to be unpopular at any given time.

Islam. I'm religious and I try to stick to all obligations God asked me to do (I do pray 5 times a day, fast the month of Ramadan..etc. And of course I said the two testimonies). Why, because it makes feel fulfilled, and gives strength through my life. I always ask God for things, and ask for his help in many things in life, minor or major. I do believe in science and thinking, for Islam and Holy Qur'an does not contradict science, on the contrary it supports it, and it asks Muslims to read and seek knowledge. I feel deeply in my heart it's the correct path to choose.
