I love how you try to say translations instead of versions. every book has translations, Im taking about the removal and addition of verses and entire BOOKS from the different bibles, they are not the same, and the Quran was written on leaf DURING the prophet Muhammads life

The Quran was put together 150-200 years after Muhammad who was illiterate died. It was only by memory and a few scraps of paper hidden under a bed. Not much to say for its inception. Even the Quran calls the Gospel of Jesus "guiding and light" so when they now say that the gospel is in error they contradict themselves.

Very nice question. God sent down the Quran to be the last book from God because all previous books have been modified and corrupted.

Same as why prophet Muhammed was the last prophet sent from God. God dared people in the holy book of Quran to try and come up with a sentence that has the same power of Quran. But no one can and no one will because it's protected by God.

You might ask yourself now why God let the Bible get corrupted. God mentioned in the Bible that there will come a prophet after Jesus and his name is 'Ahmed'. Ahmed has the same meaning as Muhammed. This gospel has not been corrupt and still exists in the bible but in a very indirect meaning.

So God did not care less if the Bible was to be corrupt as the Quran was and is the last Book from God.

My friend and to all you rednecks:

I'm an atheist and not a muslim, but i'm a realist.

There are no other versions of the Quran. Ask any secular muslim even, if there's another version of the Quran they'll tell you HELL NO. Because it's protected by God. No one can change the Quran. God dares all humanity to come up with a new book or gospel. No one can succeed and overcome the power of God.

Oh, and God chose the Quran to be written and spoken in Arabic as it is the most powerful language on earth. Which explains why God chose Arabic over Chineese, Latin, etc.. Arabic has never changed. And never will. Arabic has many dialects. But Arabic as a whole language is one.

The Quran was written many years later on paper. Before that it was written on leafs, bones, slants, tree bark, and camel skin. Some of these exist in Arab and Islamic museums.

Who is more mighty and powerful than you? Who can take away your life and give you life? Who can provide you with the air you breath and take it away from you?

God is one. God can do all. God dares you. God watches you fail. Pathetic mortals.

Depends on what you consider a 'version'. Various translations are necessary if any book, including the Quran, is to receive worldwide distribution. So the Quran DOES have many versions, because I have seen at least two English versions.

As to the choices between RC and Protestant versions, that is the result of a schism that took place before Mohammed even came along. Wait your turn. You'll be seeing 'versions' of the Quran sooner or later. There are too many crazies out there.

I am a christian, and believe the bible to be the word of God. Yet I agree with you about all the different versions. I wouldn't give you two cents for a catholic or jehovah witness bible. They have added and twisted things to suit their viewpoints. The original bible text used to mention Islam in a good light. The story of Saul to Paul, as it was originally written used to say that saul persecuted the Dien, or the ppl of the way. Which is Islam. But the bible has been so whitewashed over the centuries that it now says he persecuted christians. And most accept that as fact. We christians and muslims share the first 5 books of the bible. We believe Christ was messiah. Islamics feel he was a great prophet. Except for that viewpoint, which is a major one, we both agree on how to treat our fellow man and on the ten commandments. Both religions came from the seed of Abraham. Let's not judge each other, but pray for one another.

There is one and true living bible. The word of God does not change. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8). Man makes versions. I don't really agree with all the translations because I believe some how that is the attack of the enemy. He tries to change the word in such a way that it brainwashes people which confuses them and they are gullible to everything they hear. Christains have to be planted and rooted in the word of God.

James King version is the original. It is just simply hebrew translated into english. Some words change the meaning of The Word with the translations that are out now. The word also saids to lean not to your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.

If you can't understand what you are reading don't try to figure it out on your own and call yourself "reading in between the lines". Let God give it to you. Thats what is wrong with people today. They read in to stuff that is not there. Thats why you have people coming up with versions and stuff. For example. God created adam and eve. I don't understand how people get the impression that God made adam and steve, which is in a so called "bible" translation if you will. The bible is still the True Word of God, but through Satan man tries to change it and sugarcoat it into his own image. Don't be decieved by the enemy

Many people do not know, but some centuries ago, another version of Quran has been in the market!
Also, when there are translations, do we say there are many versions?
Also, if we accept only one book, how come and this book does not talk about Internet, still all are using it?
Further, check historically, all religions are against development, although finally they use the outcomes!

The 'versions' as you call them are in fact 'translations'. All are of the same book, just put into different languages. And yes, there are several different 'English' versions.... because the English language has changed a great deal over the years...even recently, we have words that have changed meaning, or new words added to the language.

The Bible refers to itself as "The Living Word" -- the message stays the same, even tho the language it is written in may change.

It is interesting to note that Christianity, Judaism, and Islamic religions can all trace their history back to Abraham, who was accorded the name "friend of God". The Arabic, and Jewish peoples can also trace their lineage to Abraham. The Arabic peoples are descended from Abraham's union with his wife's handmaid...and while her child was born before Israel (the child of Abraham and Sarah, his wife)... the handmaid and her child were 'driven off' from the camp, so there would be no contest for the right to inherit, by Israel.

It is interesting to note, that even after all this time.... the stepchildren are still fighting over the right to inherit......

The Bible was not originally written in English (mainly Hebrew and Greek). There are many words in Hebrew and Greek that don't exist in the English language, so translators have been forced to find English phrases that convey a meaning closest to the original word. And different translators have different interpretations on different words/concepts expressed in Greek and Hebrew. Hence, multiple translations.

And hermitcrab_rescue does bring up another point, but that is more of a modern-day trend.

The Catholic church took it upon themselves to bestow Sainthood's these are the additions to the Catholic Bible.
The King James version is the most widely accepted because we all know how well the Catholic church has followed Gods teachings.
I know of no other versions.Sorry there is another version the Mormon Bible. This one also was added to by a so called Prophet. The Mormons are the only ones who recognize their Bible as true.

Gods word never changes, but people who have their own agenda have made different translations, stick to the King James Version. In the beginning was God and the word.

The Quaran is not the Bible, Mohammad is a false God, and People have different interpretations of the Bible because Christianity was spread with different tongues, The main belief though is that Jesus died for our sins that we can be forgiven, and enter the eternal kingdom if we accept Jesus Christ as our savior.
