why do men always seem to forget what they say they will do ?

Fact is, men need to be invested in acomplishing something. Most of us need to feel it can't be done without them. Our mind works on two levels of priority:
-what needs to be fixed now
-what can be fixed later.
One piece of advice: make him feel like he's the only one who could do it and act like you are depending on him only to have it done. it does work, I've moved a fridge up and downstairs 4 times from the 3rd floor because of that trick...

Because men tend to have one track minds but 100 track mouths. As they are thinking and or doing one thing, they will sit there and say "yes, yes, yes" to everything else and then not even remember the conversation. I believe, and I've been married 4 times, that all men have ADD and I am NOT joking when I say this. Also they are self centered...not to be confused with selfISH. They tend to focus only on what THEY need to do for THEY'RE agenda. Anything else is "extra" not matter how hard they try to remember they NEVER seem to LOL! Ever notice those stories that involve a baby dieing in their carseat in the hot sun because they were forgotten ALWAS happens because it was a man responsible? So here is my advice....if it is somethhing that is really important to you....DO IT YOURSELF becaues you will kick yourself every time!

Some men (and women) will tell you anything you want to hear, believing that that will give them time to play with their friends , but they forget the garbage will soon rage up a stench and they'll get caught.

Well thats a very sterio typical answer... To say that men do it is kinda harsh.... Why do women not do it??? I would have to say that its a person thing... and agree with one of the other responces... That people hardly ever forget things that they want to do... Maybe you pressured him into saying he will do something that he really didn't want to do, and he just forgot.

if your talking about when we say 'yes dear' without taking our eyes off the tv its because we did not even hear you. seriously if you want us to do something write it down and pin it to our clothes. my g/f did it for a while and now i listen real good so she'll stop.
