To me it means being bought by God so that we no longer are slaves to sin or condemned to hell, but we are God's property instead.
In Revelation 5:9, people were singing to Jesus. "And they sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation."
In Romans 7:22, Saul said, "So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin."

I have no "god" to redeem myself with, but I most certainly have myself and my Conscience to redeem myself with, if I did something I know was wrong.

Spiritual redemption = If I did something illicit and my Conscience is yelling at me to make amends or apologize....I may then figure out how to do so without causing more pain to others and do so. Then my Conscience will quiet down and actually I do feel better about myself after the act of amends or apology---that is the spiritual redemption I have with myself.

That way, I can sleep at night and have a clear Conscience, not a dirty one.

Spiritual redemption in my opinion is when you forgive those who have hurt you in some way, and asking the lord for forgiveness for the harm you may have caused. Then living your life to the best of your ability in a good manor.
