If you magically changed every "illegal" into models men and women.What would be public opinion?

If every illegal alien was white and blonde and beautiful like Pamela Anderson or Jessica Simpson and the men All looked like Brad Pitt and they spoke english very well would public opinion be the same?Perhaps you see most illegals as poor short dark skinned people with dirty clothes and bad teeth and poor hygine and that speak broken english at best.I really wonder if there was a nation of Brad Pitts and Angelina Jolins crossing the border every night for a piece of the American dream if the public opinion would be any different?

Actually, if we are going to assume their is any merit in this argument at all, alot of people find latino\as very attractive people. I actually like latino men because-no offense to anyone- I don't like blond men. It looks too feminine and reminds me of surfer boys. Culturally, latino guys are also encouraged to be more macho. There are alot of women who like that in a guy, including myself.
It doesn't matter if you look good, illegal is illegal. I make romantic decisions considering(in part) personal appearance, not political ones.

I think you make a good case, albeit with the wrong analogy. If the country to the south of us was white and spoke English I think things would be very different. If these so called "illegals" were able to assimilate into our culture easier I think we would have a less harder time accepting them. I think this is more about cultures clashing than it is about being an illegal citizen or even an economic issue.

If they all changed to look like Pam Anderson, Jessica Simpson, and Brad Pitt I think that I would hate them even more then I already do. HOWEVER, if they could be changed to Marilyn Manson, Michale Graves, and Amy Lee - Then I would present myself to them naked.

They would be illegal aliens. They would be attractive but illegal. The people mentioned speak english and have a fairly good education. They might blend in better but they would still be illegal.

For me it would be different if their children spoke English when they entered school, because that would somewhat lessen the drain on the school systems in border states, although overcrowding would remain. Their looks changing wouldn't help that problem at all. So, no. It would not change my opinion.

no I merely see them as illegal, illegal is just that, not looks or job, some own companies, some have jobs, most are really great people, but they need to be great people in thier own nation and come here legally.

Honestly I think that if mexicans were white the inmigration politic towards them will be different. If mexicans were like the englands, germans or irish it will be totally different.

Besides you gotta understand that language is a big wall between countries. if they would speak english they would be treated like canada

You forget not just latinos are illegal. There are white people too. Illegal is illegal. I don't care how good you look or what your skin color is. My family is Irish and I know that their are alot of Irish people that are illegal. Deport them too!! Skin color doesn't make you better than other people.
