Puppies and adult dogs will often refuse to leave the food in teir plate. Put a piece of sample carpet under the bowl, and if he takes it out of the plate, hi will at least be likely to eat it off the rug. If you are using a plate, rather than a bowl, he needs a bowl to make him more comfortable. Food doesn't move around a bowl as much as on a plate. My dogs much prefer glass bowls to plastic or metal.

My dog does that too. I take a spoon and feed it to her with the spoon. If that dosnt work then mix some cheerios with the good. But not honeynut cheerios the sugar is bad for your puppy.

I dont know why they do this. I think its cause my dog is just a little ***** (no pun intended)

I'm getting a feeling he told me that he thought he was fat... he is trying a new diet. He said it is called... um don't eat crap!

you might need to change his food or take him to a vet to see if he is not feeling well.

Not to insult you, but do you regularly wash his plate? This is very important. Their noses are very sensitive to smells.

Try moving feed dish to another location, like where you eat.

May be you need to change the location of the tray.

if he's not eating the food anywhere then it might be the food.

maybe he wants you to feed him by hand....tell your vet i'm sure he'll tell you why
