No, it isn't. The body needs water to filter out what you drink. So, if you drink sweet liquids, it takes more pure water to break them down. You will start to run a deficit as far as water is concerned. Nothing can take the place of pure water. Not kool-aid, fruit juice, or anything else.

It won't do the same thing but if you get tired of plain water and stop drinking it what good is that doing. It's better to drink something like kooolaid that is made mostly from water, with no sugar, than sodas and stuff. You could also look into flavored water.

In my Weight Watchers meeting we can only count something as water, if it is sugar free, fat free and caffeine free. Crystal Light is a great drink, but nothing can be better than plain ole water.

you are right, does not make sense....what if you used splenda and slice of lemon or SPLENDA based koolaid?

Drinking water alone can get boring....I am sure you can find a good alternative, and still maintain your diet.....

In your diet, have you also lowered your intake of salt? Salt is what you are prespiring, isn't it? So if you don't prespire maybe your salt intake is low (which isn't a bad thing)

No, it's not the same as water, because Kool-Aid has sugard and artificial colors in it.

It's because of the chemicals. Try fresh lemon or lime instead.
