The best thing to do is carry a little 3 by 5 inch spiral notebook in your pocket and write down absolutely everything you eat. This food journal will give you the inspiration to be more careful! Good Luck!

The best thing to do is take note of what you are eating. The things to watch are carbohydrates. A little is good but too much is bad. Always thing moderation. To lose 10 lbs, try to cut out anythng made with flour: Breads, cake, pasta. Cut out potatoes yes fries chips etc. Drinks lots and lots of water eat fruit and veggies, brown rice not white and lots of salads. You can eat all the meat you want, grilled broiled, flame broiled, boiled and roasted. Take the skin of the chicken, and don't eat after 6 which I call the inactive hour. If yoou get hungry drink a glass of milk before bed or a low caloric juice and that 10 pounds will be gone sooner that you know without dieting. It's just called cutting back and eating in moderation. Three meal a day the right way andyou wont feel hunger pangs, and if you do eat an apple or a piece of fruit

First of all give yourself the time to lose weight intelligently. Don't think you can drop 10 lbs in a week. Secondly, eat the right foods in moderation. It is better to eat 6 small meals in a day than to eat one or two huge meals. A healthy snack between meals keeps you from getting hungry and bingeing on the wrong food. Thirdly, ALWAYS eat breakfast. It gets your body out of starvation mode and lets it know it can burn fat rather than store it up. Fourth, exercise is key. The more you move, the more you lose. Start moderately and work your way up. The more muscle you build the higher your metabolism the more fat you burn, even while sitting or even sleeping. Fifth, drink lots of water. Yeah, I know, you gotta pee a lot. That will change soon. You will go less often but your production will increase. Sixth, reward yourself by eating anything you want for one meal a week. ANYTHING! But just one meal. If you slip, don't kill yourself over it. Just get back on track as soon as you realize it. Check out the link below. It is from Mens Health but it works great for women, too. I'm living proof.
Be realistic about your goal and you CAN realize it! Good luck.

Here is a strategy that might be good for you.
1. Take a 20 minute walk every day. YES, I mean it. (does hollering at you help?)
2. Simply stop eating high carb and high sugar stuff. COMPLETELY.
Try to avoid any snacks such as Candy, bread, crackers. In other words, JUST celery sticks and such.
Completely stop eating bread, pasta, potatoes and other high carb foods. Eat a High Fiber cerial for breakfast.
I am not suggesting that you do this for 2 weeks. I mean FOREVER. START TODAY to save your life.
Read the South Beach Diet book.

YOu don't have to diet just eat want you like but in smaller portions. Try not to eat after 8 pm. ANd you must drink lots and lots of water. Try to limit fast food to like once a month. If none of this works just drink lots of water and excercise for 90 minutes a day

Excersise - go to the gym or go on runs, bikes, swims, jogs, whatever you like. This will help you keep the weight down for good.
As for food - all in moderation. Try to cut down on white grain and big sugary coffee drinks, soda (and the like), etc.

How much you eat is not the issue. It is how many calories are in what you eat plus where they are coming from. Site below helps you re-learn how to eat so you won't have to worry about excess weight. Plus exercise to get faster metabolism.
