I've been on Adventurer, Voyager ,and Jewel of the Seas in the past 3 years. All were fabulous! (I didn't like the Jewel as well as the Voyager class. It was smaller, with less to do, and the service was a step down) There were gay people on board each cruise who seemed to fit in without any issues. I met a couple in the clubs and nobody hassled them. With ships that size, there's something for everyone! The Freedom looks fabulous! I'm booked for February so, unfortunately, I can't let you know just yet. I hope this helps. You can contact me through here if you have additional questions.
P.S. I think a direct threat to report people who aren't serious seems a little harsh. We all get answers from people who aren't serious. Just ignore them!

My wife is a travel agent and sailed on a "Cruise to Nowhere" for 3 days. She has cruised quite a bit and I've never seen her so excited about a ship. There were over 3,000 people on board and you had no feeling of being crowded. Food was great, shops were wonderful. Highly recommend it.
I think it's probably as safe as anything these days, and RCCL is supportive of a gay-friendly atmosphere.

I was on another Royal Caribbean ship of the same class, Adventure of the Seas. It was fabulous. The ship is gorgeous, the food was great and so were the shows including an ice show. I would say that they have something for everyone, including gays

Kid brother & wife have been on the ship (she is a cruise agent).
Go ahead and book, should be as smooth sailing as any other RC cruise.
