i dont care if i die i love smoking and i dont care about the health effects. Why does everyone always gotta try and start drama with me trying to get me to stop when i dont care about the health effects?

For one thing, your smoking doesn't just impact on your health. It has an effect on people around you. Secondhand smoke can cause diseases in others. The smoke that permeates your clothing is unhealthy for any babies or children you hold.
Another thing is that people care about you, love you and want you around for the long haul. They know if you continue to smoke you will probably die younger than you would otherwise. That your death will probably be from lung cancer and you will suffer. Watching you suffer will be hard on those who love you.
Do you care about the effects your smoking has on those around you? That you spread carcinogens wherever you go? That young people are watching you and learning a bad habit? If you don't care about yourself, I hope you care about others. If not, you are truly a hopeless case.

Smoking is bull shite! I'm glad I never started. Sometimes I can barely hear my own mom as we speak on the phone because of her smoking and she is so addicted that she as a age 50 something diabetic she has fallen asleep several times recently while smoking with a lit cigarette in her hand which has caused burns to her face. She cries to me about how that whole situation is out of her control yet she still $moke$ her health and what little money she has away. She continues to smoke despite her burns! What also gets me is that she also as an addict willingly pays tobacco companies to keep her supply going especially after burning herself several times. Go ahead be a rebel if you like because you don't care or aren't gonna end up like my lil' story but then again I am not the one being fooled into thinking that crap is cool.

two main reasons there- the first is that there are people that care about you and your health- they don't want to see you have to suffer from the long term effects of smoking- my brother is a smoker who feels the same as you do- but I don't want to see him sick and sufferingfrom a long term illness caused by his bad habit.
Secondly, second hand smoke affects people who don't smoke- I choose not to smoke and going to a restaurant or public place where I am forced to inhale cigarette smoke makes me sick- I don't like the smell and I am allergic to it- it makes me physically ill. for the consideration fo others around you - is a good reason for people to try to convince you to quit.
Also, if you think about all the money you spend on cigarrettes, I mean, two packs a day is not chump change, think of the cool things you could buy if you were not burning it up!

These other people DO care about you, you are not only harming yourself, but others around you who do care about you. It's not only the co$tly habit, but others have to breath second hand smoke which is dangerous.
I was glad to see my dad quit, too bad it was because of slightly high b.p. and a couple other things including diabeties.
However you say you don't care, so why even post ?

I only have a cig every two weeks or so...and so I really don't care if people smoke or not, just as long as you don't blow smoke in my face it really shouldn't matter. People may want you to quit, but in the end, it's your body and only you can stop smoking.

BECAUSE THEY LOVE YOU!!!!!!!! The question is do you love them more than yourself?
I watched my sister and her boys go through H-E-L-L watching her husband and father die from cancer. It was worse then my daughter dying in a car wreck. The pain that they go through now that he is gone is horrible in addition to the fact that her boys need their dad.
Listen to your question I don't care if I die, I don't care about my health, I'm sorry but you sound very selfish. Do you care about anyone but yourself? I feel sorry for those that waste their energy and love on someone that is so self centered. But that's just my opinion. Good Luck nonetheless

have you ever seen some of the long term affects of doing it?cancer patience don't die a peaceful death. the suffer a great deal before they die!i used to smoke n drink a lot but now i just smoke an occasional cig. but if your really smoking that much enjoy life as much Ase you can! cause you ain't got that long!

Because maybe you smoke around little kids, or people who don't want to die from second hand smoke. I just quit smoking but that's your choice, Just respect other peoples wishes and don't smoke around them!

maybe it doesn't matter to you but it does matter to the ppl who care about u. try decreasing the amount you smoke at first and then work at quitting.
