do pigeons use public transport?

Why in the world would they need to? Since they can fly, they can avoid getting stuck in traffic jams, etc.

I've seen crows travelling on a bus ... wonder if pigeons did the same thing .

I would imagine they can get a ride on a bus, or car or train or from tree to tree
