I was not happy with birds as pets at first. My husband and I were NOT allowed to have cats or dogs in our apartment, but we could have birds as pets. He thought they were cool, but I wanted a pet I could pet. I have been surprised and delighted to find out that bigger birds LOVE to bond, be pet and interract with people. Sometimes my bird will bow his head to have hard to reach head feathers pet, close his eyes in contentment so much so that he almost appears to be sleeping.

I can't help but to bond with any animal of mine. I currently have 4 cats. Of course, I am more bonded to my first because I rescued her as a kitten. She was running all crazy at the warehouse were I work. Trapped her under a pallet and took her home. Had her 5 years. I love my other 3 as much, but she is my baby. I think I just bond with animals better because they are not judgemental and love you no matter what. Sadly, they even love owners that do not properly care for them. I can't help it. I even bonded with my bird and cried when he got sick and died. He was an awesome bird. I miss him chatting and beating the crap out of his toys. He sure made me laugh.

I did have. I lost my 17 year old Himalayan to cancer awhile back. I'd had him since he was 6 weeks old. I don't have kids (by choice) but this cat was loved as much as any child. I would have risked my life for him, sold my home to care for him. When his kidneys failed I was going to pay $10,000 for a transplant but he was too weak to undergo the procedure. I have loved a lot of cats in my life but this was one special cat. In 17 years, I never entered a room without him looking at me with those beautiful big blue eyes. I have never encountered a cat like him. His memorial plaque reads: One small bundle of fur, a whole world of love. I am grieving as if I had lost a child. Some people think it is weird but I think they are the weird ones as my love of this cat and his love of me was one of the biggest joys of my life. He was my angel on this earth :)

I had one kitten adopt me...I rescue cats and was going to find homes for all the kittens but she wouldn't allow that.
She is a very special kitty (now 3 yrs old) and whenever I get upset start crying and yelling she will jump up in my lap and gently bite my cheek till I settle down. It is always a nip and she has never hurt me but it is the only way I will settle down right away without a fight.

Yupp I have a kitty named Love-Kitty Meow and she is my baby. She was the first pet me and my boyfriend got when we moved in together. Shes so sweet she climbs up my belly (I am six months pregnant) and just purrs and purrs than she will switch and put her head on my belly like shes listening to the baby. Shes a really good kitty most of the time and shes super spoiled. A friend of ours would bring his kitten over to play with ours and love-kitty loved her so much we talked him into letting us keep her so our kitty could have her own cat!

I have 3 cats and I have bonded with all of them. Liam is our alpha male and he only wants to petted when he wants it. Wilma is the mama to everyone making sure we're up when we need to be in bed when we need to be. And then their is Puck our little trouble maker who is into everything and then looks at you like he didn't do anything. They are my babies along with my son. It is very normal to bond with your pet.

Ohh my yes, I rescued a mixed breed dog fro the pound and i trained her as a search and rescue dog. She sooo loves her job and knows when it is time to go work and find people and I sooo love my chance to be out working or training with her its great!!!!

well because cats normally get bonded to any one that will love them and take care of them I have two Toms and they bolth love me one named whity licks me every time he sees me and a yellow cat named Tom always rub up on me!!

yes, i have a black and white kat name paprika, me and her just click. i luv to spoil her, she will even take a shower with me. she doesnt like guys or anyone else in my family, the furthest she will go from my room is the hall way, or out my window everyone calls her my daughter :D

Everytime I rub my kittten's stomach she turns over and purrs a whole lot. She's such a good kitten.
