some people say I don't trust that stuff or oh my gosh what if its the mark of the beast. Thats just stupid ignorant thinking. If my child was lost or god forbid taken and this would help me find them than of course, where can I get one. My daughter went a couple houses down to a friends house onse and then didn't bother to tell me they were going to another friends house. She came home two hours late and let me tell you not knowing where she was at and if she was okay was the absolute worst feeling I have ever experienced. I think the tracking chips are a wounderful idea and I would do anything to keep my babies safe.

Maybe if this was the 1920's I'd say no. People, sick people, kidnap, molest, murder 3 year old's! Of course I would get it if I know it would not have any serious side effects on my child. I've mentioned it to my husband before. They have it for dogs, what about my son?!?
Okay, it seems most people think this would just be used to make sure their 17 year old was at the library not a party. I wouldn't use it for that. If my child gets taken walking home from the bus stop, I'll know where to go and will be able to save my child before, God forbid, some sick bastard kills my baby!

If I worried about tracking my child yes. There is nothing ethically or morally wrong with it. Many people already do this with valuable pets. Hello Big Brother! I think these chips are below the skin. I don't know about removable devices..I suppose they exist.

i work in the animal field, on of the best ways to track lost pets is with the microchip. of course there are many different chip companies out there. if no one thought i was wierd, i would do it on both of my children, course the best way at this time is fingerprinting and/or birthmarks and other body identifications. i also feel it would be benificial for criminals to have this implant ... but that's another conversation ;)
mind you, this is just a summary of my opinion

I would only if it could be removed once they were old enough to make a decision if they wanted to have it or not. When I say old enough I mean 18. I rather see certain offenders be micro chipped but like someone already responded that is a whole different topic.

I don't think I would unless they have a history of disappearing and not coming in on time. I would not put a removable one because they could just take it out. I think if would be a good idea since there a sickos that like taking kids.

Wow, what a good question.... I've seriously considered it. My boys are young now, but I can only imagine what they'll be like when they get older. Don't get me wrong, we (well most parents) do what we can to bring them up in an honest and loving home with good morals and good sense of judgment, but when they grown up they are free to make there own decisions. So, I guess my answer would be yes.
