Taking ANYTHING without the knowledge or permission of the "owner" is THEFT... no matter what the cost of the item is... if it is just a few cents or worth millions... it is THEFT all the same!

Restitution does not alter the first act... you stole an item... and if you make restitution... it still is THEFT... if you do not make restitution... it is still THEFT... and you are a thief... Serious or minor theft... still makes a person a thief... Do not commit these acts... as they usually start out "small" but after a while you are so use to taking things that you start to take things of greater value... and don't think too much of it... and it grows and grows until you find yourself in jail.
