I am in 8th grade going into high school. My districts math curriculam is this. pre algerbra algerbra 1 geometry algebra 2 pre calculus calculus multi variable calculus. Most seniors at the high school (probobly 95 %) take calculus their senior year. I am going into geometry next year (freshman) I am thinking of taking geometry over the summer. Do people think it is worth taking it over the summer so I can be taking a college level corse senior year?

Sometimes high school students get too wrapped up in taking college courses in high school. Universities will look at your marks, not at which courses you do. Enjoy your summer. Enjoy your high school years. Get good grades, but don't stress yourself by doing the courses that will require much more work when the academic, university prep courses in high school will do the job just as well. You don't need to take college courses in your senior year.

Summer school is a waste of time. One can learn more from just reading non fiction books.

If you can, do it. I don't know your interests or intended major, but the more math you can get under your belt pre-college, the better.
