i got 2 software discs, i gotta load 2 disc's?

Nope, you need only the driver loaded. Most of these things come with all kinds of software..if you do not need the software, do not load it. Everytime you load software, you run a chance on conflicts. If you already have a graphics program and use it, you need no other programs, just the driver. If you are running Windows NT, Win 2000, or Win XP, it is all plug and play. Just follow the instructions, and when it asks for the driver, indicate the drive the program is on...(CD) and let Windows do the rest. good luck

Load the one that's for your operating system. Probably have a Mac disc and a WIndows disc.

One of the discs is probably just 3rd party software. All you really have to install is the driver. If you want to have photo-editing software, install that too. Most of the time, it will let you install just the driver. Everything else is usually optional.

I got a scanner that came with 2 because 1 is for Windows OS and the other is for Macintosh OS.

one disc is probably the driver disc, so your computer can scan images.. the second disc is probably software to help you use your scanner.. both should be loaded

It depends on what the instructions say. One of the discs may be advertisment etc...

plug it in first - it may plug & play!!

usually one disk is to install - but most scanners are plug & play meaning the drivers are already in windows xp

the other is uaually a program to help you use the scanner better - like a photo editing program

What do the instructions say? One may be a promotional disk.
