A friend gave me an African Grey parrot because it turned out to b e quite a bit of work to care for. Well, he is a bit of work, but fun. He talks and makes silly sounds. Anyone else out there have cool bird pets? What kind? Anything in particular that you like best?

Birds are great pets. I have five Quakers and five cockatiels and a lovebird. I get around on a wheelchair and the birds ride all around town on my shoulders. They are well clipped. The lovebird loves to hide in my pocket and my quakers are real clowns when out in the public. Enjoy them.

I think pet birds are so much fun. I had an African Grey a few years ago and took it to the vet who shook powder over him poison him. He was so much fun.
I am now the proud owner of 8 Rosellas, 3 of which were born in my own home. They are the funniest and most enjoyable birds you could have - they have me laughing all day. The young ones are especially funny. They don't actually talk with words but you should hear them answering me when I talk to them. They have certain voices for me and different voices for all the other birds. They argue and fight with one another just like humans and are so mischievous.

Birds can be so much fun yet such a pain as well. I have a Timneh African Grey and an Umbrella Cockatoo. My timneh makes some of the funniest sounds and has well over 100 word vocabulary, the cockatoo only says 5 words yet SCREAMS constantly. That is my main issue with him, I work swings and sleep in the mornings and he thinks I should be up at the crack of dawn with him!!!LOL

I have had many birds come in my house. I take care of injured birds. I am currently searching for a bird of my own.
My last bird was an African Grey, but he just went back home.
My all time favorite bird I have taken car of is A Lori Bird they are clingy kinds of birds and they have a beautiful Whistle.

Pet birds are FUN!!! I love my birds sooooo much! They all have their little unique personalities and they are so cute and sweet. They love to hang out with me and eat my food and drink whatever I'm drinking and they love to give me kisses and "preen" my hair. Plus, they all talk (I have 4 parrots) and do tricks. Also, since I am a competitive dancer, when I am practicing my birds pick up on it. They hear music and they all dance. I tell them they are the best dancers in the world. They love that!

I have 1 double yellow headed amazon parrot, 1 blue and gold macaw, 3 cockatiels, and 1 starling. Yes birds are a lot of fun, they don't judge you, say hurtful things, call you names, and they comfort you when you are down in the dumps. I'm not making any of this up, it's all true.

Yes, I have a pet sun-conour. He is about 12" long head to tail, bright green with orange belly and yellow and red head. He's about 4 months old and is the love of my life. He loves to ride in the car. He doesn't talk but can be trained to say words, which is ok. He loves to snuggle and absolutly loves my husband. I would so recommend them for anyone who has the time to give then a clean place to live. Also, Make sure they have been hand feed when you buy them or they won't bond with you.

I have 15 cockatiels and more on the way, 4 Quaker parrots and 4 parakeets. I have had my male cockatiel for 14 yrs. I wouldnt know how to live with out my feathered kids (FIDS) ANYONE LIVE IN TEXAS? IM IN DALLAS! Heres my group!

oh i love animals, but specially Birds and dogs. I have 7 birds, 2 zebra finches, 2 lutino budgies, 2 Lovebirds (they had chicks today) and 1 Jenday Conure. I can't live without them!!!!!!!
