Why John the baptist was beheaded by the authorities in his times although whatever he was preaching were teachings of Abraham and Moses? Why the Jews of his times never tried to save him?

John the Babtist is meaningless to jews. he was just a charismatic rabbi of the time, but left no lasting Judaic legacy and would be forgotten if it were not for his connection to Jesus.

As for Herod killing him- well Herod was a slave that, with collussion of the Romans, destroyed the ruling Jewish family of the time and was installed as king. He was hated by the Jews and tried to bribe them into liking him by renovating the temple. He was a tyrant- and Pontius Pilates, the Roman governor to whom he reported was even worse! Hey considering that the Romans enjoyed watching people killing each other, watching innocent captives being eaten alive by wild beasts, considered the children of opponents as fair game for torture, rape and murder- the mind boggles as to what he did to caus ehim to be recalled to Rome for excessive cruelty!

So the Jews would not have dared tried to interfere with Herod or Pontius Pilates- they would have suffered for it and were already suffering abominably at the hand sof the Roman.

John the Baptist is not a significant history in Jewish history. He like dozens of others preached a more spiritual way to connect with G-d in a time of suffering and oppression. He hoped his message would comfort the people.

as for why he was not saved. Its the same reason why all the far greater sages of that time were also not saved. Their was a tyrannical dictatorship in the land that sought to destroy anyone that spread the word of G-d in any way shape or from.

It would be like asking you if a member of the Taliban was caught by Pakistani forces and the villagers thought he was a good man. Would it cause the government to set him free? Of course not the same thing is true here.

Herodias, the sister of Herod Agrippa married her uncle, Herod Philip by whom she had a daughter, Salome. Herod Philip died and Herodias married his brother, Herod Antipas. This was illegal according to the Jewish Law... and John the Baptist, preached to the public about the unlawfulness of this union... making "waves." Herod Antipas arrested John and had him imprisoned, but John kept preaching about their sins... and Herod was fearful that the Jews would call him a martyred prophet if he killed him... so he kept him in prison, where John continued preaching. It was Herod's birthday and Salome danced for Herod and he was pleased and promised to grant her any request she asked for... Herodias got Salome to request the head of John the Baptist on a platter... and because Herod gave his oath to Salome... Herod had John beheaded while he was in prison. John languished in Herod's prison for a few months before he was beheaded... and no Jew could go against the Jewish rulers... to release and save John without losing their life. Hope this answers your question. :)

He was beheaded because he told the King Herod not to marry his brother's wife (not to make her the Queen) because it was unlawful.

King's brother's wife's daughter danced at the King's gathering one time. The King was pleased at her performance and promised her "anything" she wants. Her mum secretly told her to ask for John the Babtist's head. The King was troubled because he could not break his promise in front of his guests... and lo and behond, John the Babtist was beheaded.

Baptism is a deviation from traditional Jewish ritual cleansing known as the mikvah. His teachings indicated he thought Jesus was Maschiach, which is also contrary to Jewish thought.
