Probably because of the change in temperature, humidity and weather. If it gets too hot (and too hot is probably aroun 76 since they have fur too), they want to just lay around and not exert too much energy or that will make them feel even hotter.

Although cats love to be warm, they can overheat and become lethargic in very hot weather. Just make sure theres clean water left out all the time, and they will be fine. They also sometimes go off their food a bit, but thats normal, too.

Yep, The weather is far to hot for them, id hate to have all that fur i bet they car 10 times hotter than we are, i don't think you should wet your cat though. i just leave my cats to sleep, and make sure that there is fresh water for them to drink. And keep them cool in a cold place in the house or sumthin. My cats tend to find a place where they are cool and comfortable and sleep there for the whole day.

probably the heat, even people if they could would be lazier. They'll eat less too. Unless they've got heatstroke there's no need to bathe a cat, unless he's one of those moggies who loves the water. Leaving fresh water in these hot days and places in the shade are all they need to keep cool and laze about.

My cat is black so she is really feeling the heat, bless her.

I wouldn't do anything to wet your cat, it won't thank you for it.

Just make sure it has plenty of fresh water and shade to sleep in.

Yes! The heat affects Cats too :-) Just like we get fed up of it sometimes, they do too with a built in fur-coat!

you don,t say how old your cat is, but most indoor cats are lacy,as they can,t run, although I did have one that did the indy 500 around the house, was quite comical, no need to wet them, they have built in tempature spots.
