NO NO NO
Overweight cats, including those considered "heavy" and "obese," are four-and-a-half times more likely to develop diabetes
-- Obese cats are seven times more likely to require veterinary care for lameness, caused by joint diseases such as arthritis or muscle injuries, compared to optimal weight cats. Heavy cats are three times more likely to suffer lameness.
-- Obese cats are three times more likely to be presented to veterinarians for non-allergic skin conditions, probably because the cats cannot reach all parts of their bodies to groom themselves properly.
-- Obese cats are twice as likely to die in middle age, which for cats is 6 to 12 years

No its not good for cats at all. If you have a fat cat then speak to your vet to see how you may be able to help your cat lose some weight.

It's not good for any animal to get too fat. I hope you don't feed your cat "people" food because that will make them gain more weight than their own food and it's not good for their digestive food. And don't feed them too much of their own food. My cats eat dry food so I give them 1/4 cup in the morning and 1/4 cup in the evening. That's what the vet told me to do and they do fine.

I suggest..........
No, No, No, No!
He might die,...
fat cats always sleep, and if he dont wake up,... Wel, he's dead...
It is better to have slim cats, Becoz youy can carry them effortlessly... Fat cats are slow walker,.. Of course, they're like humans,.. Compare the fat human to a slim one,.. That's the answer,...
They might die at high blood pressure.. Fat cats are not so beautiful,... really,... i really would prefer not fat cats,..

No! No! No! It can die sooner if you keep it to fat. And I don`t think that you want that to happen. You should keep your cat about 16 or 17 pounds. That is what I say. Because it is true.

no, not at all, it could lead to diabetes and heart problems. you should take your cat to the vet to rule out any medical problems it could have that it's overweight I just did this and my vet told me to reduce the amount of food by 10%. drastic weight changes could lead to liver problems in cats. and also if your cat his healthy enough for excercize make sure it gets some excercize. I have a string toy my cats love that I'll play with that with them a few times a week for the sole purrrpose of excercize.
Good luck!

being overweight is not healthy for anyone, including cats... I have a 22lb cat and thought he was overweight. When I brought him to the vet, the Dr said that he is a healthy weight b/c he is a larger breed of cat (exotic breed) and has naturally bigger bone structure... but that he was previously overweight at 32lbs (I adopted another cat so they could play and it has helped keep his weight down)... the healthy weight for my cat is anywhere up to 25lbs. You should check with your vet to see the healthy weight range for your cat (I know they vary b/c the healthy weight for my other cat is no more than 15 lbs) and if he/she is overweight, try getting him/her a playmate. Good luck!

no, my cat weighed about 20lbs. her whole life, then she suddenly died a few monthes back from diabeties at age 14-16 (we got her at 4-6 years old, she was fat like that since we got her) so if they're really fat like mine AND shed like crazy, make him/her go on a diet, and fast! i wouldn't want what happened to me happen to you. That cat was my best friend for 10 years and when i lost her, i had to go to therapy to cope. a bit extreme, but ..... whatever, everyone's different

fatness in any animal is a health hazard. some people consider it a form of abuse rather like having an obese child!
get it on a diet from the vet!

No way! I'm not sure if they can die if they're too fat like us but they might be able to. Keep them strong BUT NOT FAT.
