I've heard of the lemon one...
my friend did that and it totally screwed up her hair.

i recommend if you want blonde hair, go get it done at a salon. i know you said you dont want to, thats the best way. no mistakes that way.

Going blonde without coloring o.k. lets see what you can do. You can use the lemon juice to lighten you hair, but do not use it pure. Get the lemon juice, and mix it one part juice 3 parts water to dilute it. Put it in your hair and go in the sun till it drys. And I'll give you another, get some apple cider vinegar and put it in your hair for 15 minutes and rinse do that till you achieve your the desired lightness.

I agree with the others...there is no way to lighten your hair without damaging it!
I would suggest a box color from the drug-store!! Find one on sale!!
OR go to the salon. You may spend a bit more, but seriously, it's better than doing some irreversable damage with lemon juice or Vinegar. And if you do decided to use vinegar, PLEASE water it down. I've heard of using vinegar for a clarifying rinse, but not for lightening hair.

you can do the lemon thing but if it even works, your hair will be orange. Dont put peroxide on it, it will ruin your hair. The best bet is to get it done at a salon or try to dye it yourself with the stuff from the store.
