Don't worry about anyone else being named that or how they're acting. Take the name and make it your own. Be proud of your name. It's original, it's different....just like you!
Personally, I think it's a cute name. Not too perky (like Brittany), can be cute, can be sexy, can be a buddy name (Kinzie, Kinz, et cetera) and would work as a power name in an office too, a great successful name if you let it.
The bottom line is, just be you. Accept the name and it'll form around you.
Ppl will associate the name with you. So if you're a bit@h, they'll think about that....if you're cool, they'll love it. It's all up to you, girlfriend.

McKenzie is a normal name and I would certainly not think of it as a boy name. Besides, if it suits you then it is just fine. Most important is how you feel.
