Like on top of the cake, what should I put on it to make it look neat. Its for a birthday.

Put chocolate dipped strawberries on top and some around plate edge.
Wash and pat dry fresh strawberry's, leaving green leaves on.
Melt chocolate in a narrow glass measure cup in microwave.
Dip strawberries in melted chocolate, holding them by the leaves.
Set to dry on wax paper.
When dry place on cake.

Buttercream the top and sides,
Melt chocolate and put in to a piping bag,
Pipe happy birthday and some pretty swirling patterns on top,
Get some chocolate truffles or other chocolates and scatter around!
Or make chocolate Swirls
chocolate swirls:
Bar of chocolate,
Sharp knife,
Put chocolate in fridge for about an hour and slide knife over the top at a slight angle.

put 8 chocolate rosettes around the edge and melt chocolate to pour over the top and it will run down the sides between the rosettes.

put red roses on the sides and a straberry in the middle on top of the cake
