I'm 27 and going out with a 48 year old. Nothing pervy, nothing weird, we're really excellent friends and, as well as spending lots of time living and working together (we have a Hotel) we also spend time apart with our own friends. We have seperate and mutual interests and have a lot of fun together. He's always been with money-grabbing barbie-dolls in the past and I want him to know I'm different and that I love him - without being too scary! What would he really appreciate? How can I make him smile and feel content without scaring him or turning into a snivelly limpet (he professes to be really unromantic but I'm not so sure!)?!

Honestly, I think you're already making him feel contented, and I'll bet he smiles a lot. I think you're good for him. Just continue doing what you're doing.......it's working just fine as far as I can tell. Lucky GUY!

if he has had bad experiences in the past they are bound to stay with him for a long time.
but putting your arms around him and just saying you love him should start to eventually relax him and your relationship should then grow even stronger.
i think the fact that you have the question on here shows you are a genuine caring person, because even though i am male i still get some strange and rather abusive contacts,so if he knows you use answers at yahoo i would show him your question and maybe he may realise just how much you care, but if he would get upset about it,then please don't show him.
i think you will be fine and go from strength to strength.

First up --- don't get your honey, at the same place you make your money!!!
It just makes it hard for you when things go bad --- keep the friendship (only friends too) --- If he's always been with barbie doll types in the past - please be aware that's his interest ! There's a red flag on this one --- don't make the mistake in thinking you can change him --- find a man who suits all your requirements---

I've been there...and still there/ i made friends with an older man 18 years my senior. We have been together now for 22 years... I did it my way...by being myself and independant. I never asked him for nothing and always asked him if there was anything he wanted. He was very badly hurt before i met him and he was hard work. Over the years he came to trust and love me. It was well worth it. Hope you find what you want..be happy. :))<

All you have to do is, avoid praising another younger or smarter guy in front of this man. If you fail to get anything from him, do not tease him from that. Keep smiling, and be patient with him when he is angry or upset. Avoid going out to other guys, do not deceive him. Keep repeatedly telling him that you love him, and assure him he is the best and only one in your privacy, wish you good luck. Because.......
Every married man keeps wondering evening "should I go out and look at what I cant *uc*or, .... stay at home and *uc* at what I cant look"

Keep the money thing separate. Offer to pay your own way. do not except lavish gifts let him know you just like him not the cash.

Just be yourself. If you are really different from those previous girlfriends of his and he really cares about you, he will notice without you doing anything special. If not, why bother?
