Soccer coaches are using both motivation as well as mental toughness on the field. Can their players have a lot of endurance when they play for real. It build character.

Because every kid on the team is not in shape. Everyone needs warm-up time for your muscles, if you do not get them warmed-up you could pull or strain a muscle, Then were would the coach be if his best players are out because he did not warm them up first. It's the same with any sport you must get your muscles warmed-up, or you risk hurting yourself. Also in soccer there is lots of running you must run a lot in practice to keep your stamina up, so that you are able to run the whole game, without pooping out half way though.

"getting in shape" means to have players capable to properly perform in a soccer game. Being fit it is important, but is also important to have knowledge of certain moviments that will allow you to move accordingly during a soccer game.

what young people don't understand about being in shape is, that being in shape isnt about the amount of body fat and how tone your body is. So what i'm trying to say is he's working on the most important muscle in your body, your heart, and if you junk it up with alot of chips and cookies, your only clogging your heart with cholesterol, and you will tire more easily.

becuase they are trying to get the best out of you. Just because your already in shape doesnt mean you dont have any more potential.

your muscles tighten every night and when your not doing anything, so u have to keep active to stay in shape. thats why coaches run alot during practices to get our muscles used to running so they won't tighten as fast
