I would rather have a hot chick lust for me rather than a person kill me. If anybody truly believes that no sin is greater than the other, they could be very dangerous. They might be thinking murdering you is no worse than lusting for you and go ahead and kill you

It gives them comfort to think that simply because of "grace", we can all end up in the same place. I'm sorry, but if I gossip about a co-worker, it will NEVER be equal to a person who molests a child. How can any free thinking individual ever justify that in their head? Sorry, not buying it!

It isn't a matter of what we as Christians think.
Naturally murder is worst than lust.
However the meaning is that all sin separates you from God.
From stealing that pop to murdering someone.
Sin is sin and all sin is punishable by death or total separation from God.

That line of thinking is what helped them murder millions of people during the Crusades and the Inquisitions. They could just murder anyone who wouldn't money in the collection plate and then just ask for forgiveness later. Praise the Good Lord!!

You are looking at it from the wrong perspective. It is God that believes, except for one, no sin is greater than another. To him it doesn't matter whether you have lied, stolen, committed adultry, or killed someone. No matter which of these you ahve done, you have sinned, and therefore cannot enter the kingdom of God.

I think the reason that no sin is greater then the other is because they are all sins...no matter what sin you do, its still considered a sin. And no matter what sin you do, you could go to hell.

Not all Christians think this way! I think most most Christian theologians would disagree strongly. This is an oversimplification on the part of those who know the power of grace. One sin can send you to hell my friend, but the temperature varies!
