Killing Zarqawi means nothing in the long run. He's just one out of thousands. The US has been in Germany and Japan since the end of WWII and in South Korea since the end of the Korean War.

The US isn't going to leave Iraq in any of our lifetimes.

Imagine if we left Iraq this very moment--pulled all of our troops and the allied troops out.

The insurgernts would have more of an opportunity to steal from the Iraqi people the democracy that we and their sons have fought for. The only thing we would have accomplished then would be the removal of Saddam from power--but an equal, if not worst, ruler would take his place if we left now.

We are currently training Iraqi people to be able to defend themselves. We are training an effective Iraqi military and police force.

People may say that it's not our war to fight, but why let innocent people suffer when we know we have the means to prevent the persecutions?

Well, Zarqawi wasnt the reason we went there, and in case you havent noticed, the rest of the insurgents havent dropped their bombs and rifles yet.

getting zarqawi is not the only reason they are in Iraq.... the main reason they are there right now is to help them stabilize their government ,police, and army, and help them re-build..

Just because the head of this beast is gone, doesn't mean the fight is over. We are still involved in fighting and there are several insurgent groups to be dealt with. Osama is still involved, even though he's slowly dying of liver failure. A war can't just be shut off like a light switch, there is still alot of work to do. There are plenty of innocent people who deserve and welcome our help to try and make their lives better, after all, it was a village that turned in Zarqawai (sp?). They deserve our protection from further assault and are counting on us.

Supposedly, we're rebuilding what we destroyed.. and, we're helping them to set up a government and armed services and police there.. You know, we did this with Afghanistan.. taught them how to fight, provided them with weapons, and they are now still coming after us.. I can't think of anything more stoopid than for us to train their miliatry.. and provide them with weapons.. where do you think the "insurgents" come from? They're guy we've trained along with guys who were in the Irani Army that we fired and told them to take their weapons with 'em.. stoopid, stoopid.. you would think we would have learned for the very close past!!!

The rest of the job.

Why have you not listened when the military told you that this war will not end with one dramatic event?
