If its the word for word of God wouldn't it be such a book that everyone would be able to read it and understand it and agree that it is the real actual God who wrote it?

Why would Jesus if he was God not correct all the errors before they got written. Or is it possible the errors were written after and there for the current Bible isn't the word of God, even thou it was before.

Or am I to be answered with the holy spirit is neccessary to understand the bible. Is the holy spirit invisible? Didn't I mock that yesterday with the invisible pink elephant question?

People aren't perfect. I am sure that God is pretty pissed we messed up the bible. The King James version of the Bible is by far the most correct of the different versions. it would only be if we have a living prophet as in days of old that we could correct or know the truth. people tell me that I am crazy for saying that there is a church that beleives that. and the membership count isn't 3 people lliving in West Virginia. This church is one of the top ten largest in the world. (the Church of Jesus of Latter-Day Saints ie Mormons)

Oh, god and jesus and the spirit are seperate beings. The spirit is a spirit and can dwell within people all over the world. Yeah can't see him with your rods and cones
they beleive in the same organization of the church when Christ was on the Earth; a prophet and 12 apostales. then on down. pretty intriguing if ya ask me.

The Bible is written by Human Beings, Jesus Christ's followers, and it was written in the Hibru language 2000 years ago, so there should be some people trying to change the fact that Jesus is the son of God, our Lord.

The bible was not written by God but by men, decades and centuries after Christ was crucified. Jesus was not around to act as an editor, and even if he had been, I'm sure he'd have had better things to do with his time, such as teach us to love one another, as he did during his documented life.

The bible as it stands today is a gross misinterpretation of the original and does not include all the gospels that were written. Many were excluded and facts twisted to suit the early organized religious leaders and to promote their personal agendas which included the suppression of women and control of the masses.

The Word of God says, How can they hear without a peacher. The bible doesn't contradict itself. The Bible is divided into 2 sections, The New Testament and the Old Testament. We are under grace. We live by the New Testament. Jesus came and we have a better covenant. In the old testament we had to atone for our sins though blood sacrifice. Jesus is the perfect sacrifice. a lamb without spot or wrinkle and sinless. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

I asked that same question myself....and I got basically the same answers as you, "don't question, that's just the way it is," and so on. I guess the answer is kinda simple--it was written by human beings, who tried to explain things they couldn't understand. So they did the best they could with the limited knowledge they had. That proves it couldn't be the word of god, right? Besides, I don't think god dictated the KJV in perfect 17 or 18th century english to those guys^_^

The bible is full of error and contradictions because man is full of contradictions and fault, The bible was changed so many times from its original that if you went back only one hundred years the people of that time wouldn't even recognizing it,The Quaran was sent in a way that it was memorized like a poem and couldn't be changed unfortunately while there are no contradictions people interpretation is what caused conflict in it...Over zealousness is one of the forgotten sins

First off, which version of the Bible? The main contradiction is that all these "holy books" claim truth. Which version of the "truth"? The Bibles were written by different people at different times with different agendas.

I guess you will have to choose the "truth" that best fits your agenda

I read and hear all the time that man wrote the Bible, but God inspired what man wrote. If God inspired what man wrote, and so much of the Bible contradicts itself, and other areas and stories are obviously lies, how inspirational can their God be?

The word of God was given to men, and they are the ones who wrote it down. If you really do not believe in God or his word, why are you wasting your time placing questions like this? It sounds like a small part of you still believes.

The problem is caused by the simple fact that people will always look for contradictions in the writings of God.
