The answers listed by some of the peolple above are wrong. A STRAIGHT $5.00 trifecta would cost you $5.00, but a $1 trifecta BOX (with three horses) would cost you $6.00. Therefore, a $5.00 trifecta box would cost you $30.00.....you multify 6 x 5.

It costs $12.00 for a $2 trifecta box You can do a $1 trifecta box and it will be $6.00.. It has to do with the all the different combinations of the horses coming in 1-2-3 order

depends how many horses
a 3 horse box (the most common trifecta box) $30 (6 combinations @ $5 each)
a 4 horse box would be $120 (24 combinations @ $5 each)
any more than that would start to get very expensive!
