Skip is dead wrong. There are no free scores out there and if there were, they wouldn't be correct. In my research I have found that FICO, Identity Guard and TrueCredit all report different credit scores. I have found TrueCredit to be the most accurate, based on credit report information. TrueCredit is affiliated with TranUnion Credit Bureau.

I get my reports free annually and, whenever I apply for credit, ask what my scores are from the lender. But I find it necessary to monitor my credit more than once a year. For $30 bucks, I go to TrueCredit and buy my 3 credit report/score combination.

The problem with using anyone but www.myfico.com is that they may be pulling your credit score from a single credit bureau. There are three credit bureau and each one will give you a different FICO score (credit score). If you want the best results you will have to get your FICO scores from all three credit bureau (Equifax, Transunion, Experian)

Im afraid I know of no way to get your credit score online without using a credit card.
