For some reason my family forgot all about my b day. I'm 38 so it really isn't a big deal, but even my mom and daughter forgot. I'm feeling a little put out by the whole thing. It is a good thing that I don't normally celebrate it.

just b/c they forgot ur bday doesnt mean they love u less... if u dont celebrate it normally than it would be hard for ur daughter to remember... maybe there is alot going on with them and theyre in their little worlds... i dont think anyone would do that viciously tho esp. family.
btw, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

My parents actually forgot my 16th birthday. Such a huge one for a girl too but my grandfather was in the hospital with cancer, not doing well and the family was kinda going nuts with that one so I didn't feel too bad about being "forgotten".

My ex use to always make a big deal out of his birthday (it was 5 days before mine) but when mine came around, it was just another day. Hmmm... maybe part of why he's an ex!

Mine always remember my birthday because mom puts a note up on the fridge saying "Remember Jennifer's birthday is tomorrow" or something like that, but mom never remembers how old i'm going to be. She guesses I'd be 20 this year when I'm turning 21 and she thought my brother would be like 23 or 24 when hes turning 25. She never gets it right. My husband always remembers though. Sometimes my friends do, sometimes they don't

Oh yes.....mine is right before labour day....the dog days of summer..and few are thinking about anything other than staying cool. I have since made it my plan to simply spend the day alone, or with one I care for and have NO party, No going out...it's a day of reflection for me. Oh, since the timing of my birthday , usually people are on vacation or it's not quite payday....I leave it here...and I am laughing! Thus I take the 'heat' off and give presents to others, leave it to say, my kids LOVED my birthday..and never forget it now. *wink*

Yes, they have and I think it stinks, especially if it's your family. That's a very special day that belongs to you and those close to you should never forget it.

Yeah, but usually when people in my family "forget" mine it's on purpose because they just don't care. They're just kinda mean like that.

Yes they do but my bf remembers it always so I do not mind them forgetting. As long as one person wishes me I am fine.
