Adultery is any act of unfaithfulness towards your spouse. Jesus says that it begins in the mind and when you think about someone other than your spouse in a sexual mannor, you've committed adultery.

forication is in the bible on many accounts, though the word forication, may or may not be used, depending on the translation.

Pre-marital sex is fornication, not adultery. Fornication is the English translation of the Greek "Pornos", also "Porneuo", which is found in the bible. I don't have my Strong's handy or I would tell you what verse it is used in.

You are right. Adultery is sexual intercourse outside the spouse. However, intercourse between unmarried people are also a sin.

Do not commit adultery, do not kill; for our chastity should be as dear to us as our lives, and we should be as much afraid of that which defiles the body as of that which destroys it. This commandment forbids all acts of uncleanness, with all those fleshly lusts which produce those acts and war against the soul, and all those practices which cherish and excite those fleshly lusts, as looking, in order to lust, which, Christ tells us, is forbidden in this commandment

Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Most marriages are made with a promise, a vow, some form of agreement between man and wife; that is, to remain faithful to each other and to not have others in the same way. Adultery is when I break my word to my spouse or work to have another break their word, vow, promise to their spouse. A wicked thing, to break a vow, or to sneak into anothers marriage bed, cursing their marriage.

Adultery is sex with anyone or creature other than your spouse. Fornication is not in the old testament. If one had sex with one engaged to another, it was death. If one had sex with one not engaged to another they needed to marry. In the new testament fornication is sex with anyone or creature other than your future spouse. I believe one is committing adultery & fornicating against ones future spouse if screwing around before marriage.

God made them male and female.
