Chica is right I am sorry to say. However, I do have some good news. If you go to a good stylist they can cut off only the split ends so you can keep as much length as possible. I too have really long hair. I trim about one inch off every three months and I never get split ends anymore. By only having to trim an inch I get to cut less than the length I gained in those three months. So my hair is still getting longer. Split ends is a condition of dryness. Use deep conditioning treatments, hot oil, or just put real olive oil on your hair for like an hour then rinse. You will be amazed at how healing it can be. These type of treatments will keep your locks happy along with a regular trim and you should never have to chop your hair again!

You should go get a trim. Also do not brush/comb your hair while it is wet.Air dry sometimes rather than blow drying.Avoid using the shampoos they sale in stores like Wal-mart.Ask whoever trims your hair to help you decide on a good shampoo/conditioner because after all, they cut your hair and they know what kind of hair you have and can provide you with a good shampoo/conditioner.I go to a great salon and most of the shampoos are inexpensive.

What you need to do is go to the Hair Salon and ask them to only cut off the least bit amount. Then, just take a little better care of your hair and it will be beautiful.

Trim your hair, no chopping, there is a really good gelatin type item for hair, it removes all the bad hairs and leaves you with silky smooth hair.

I hate to tell you this, but you have split ends because you have ot gotten your hair cut in a while. You just need to get your hair cut by a GOOD sylist. Not some random guy at "Super Cuts". Hope this helps! :)

You can't fix split ends. The only thing you can do is cut them off or they will only get worse. They will keep splitting farther and farther up your hair. Just cut them. Sorry.

The only thing yo would have to do is get them cut. I know some people don't like getting their hair cut but its no big deal its only the ends of your hair.

you are freaked out by the thought of someone cutting off all your hair. i don't blame you, there. i'm a professional hairstylist and even i know what you are talking about.
' i'd like a trim, please' and you walk out with like 6 inches off! yeah, i get that!
try this.
twist large sections of hair. just grab some and start twisting. when you get to the ends you will see some stray hairs flying out of the twist. cut them off. you can see the splits in each end of hair. just cut off the hair to just above the split.
i do this for one ( and only one ) client of mine. it takes me only 3 hours to do (said with a bit of sarcasm), but i charge her for that time, too!!
