I just hate exercising...I know I could lose these last 10 pounds if I exercise. I am sick of my low carb diet because I have no energy to exercise (maybe that is the probelm) and I think my body has hit a plateau with it.
But I am afraid if I allow myself to eat more and exercise I will not lose the weight in time for the weddng at the end of August.

Exercise gives you energy. That being said if you aren't eating what your body needs to have energy, it will be harder and harder. Reserach has proven that diets are useless - exercising is what will keep you in shape for your life. Eat sensible, but diets will do nothing to get you in shape. I say eat smart - balanced diet (yes that includes carbs that are whole wheat and such), and exercise - you will look & feel so much better!

To answer your question about strict diet, or exercise...I feel that if you, eat smart. Like, foods with alto of fiber, calcium, protein,etc..You, can drink alot of water, as well. Then, just basically take walks, a couple three times, a week. Stay away from fried foods. They are not only high in cholesterol, but they are very hard to get off the thighs. You dont have to eat like a rabbit, and starve yourself. But, I found from experience, that...Cooking your own steamed vegetables, baked potatoes, with salsa, on them, and all the fish you can eat.. High grain wheat bread, with no butter, at all. You will shed the pounds!! Whether, you exercise, or not. But, this diet, gives you so much energy, and makes you feel so uplifted all day long, you want to be on the go!!! Its a Very Wonderful Delicious Diet!! Good-Luck!

I too have struggled with being overweight. The one time I successfully lost 40 pounds was by reducing calorie intake and exercising. Every evening I created a journal for the next day's meals/snacks which included calories and % of fat for each food item. By adjusting my daily total calories up (1600) or down (1000) I could include items such as a slice of pizza or a serving of ice cream. Also 5 days out of 7 I tried to walk at least 15 minutes and do strength training OR a short aerobic session. Good Luck!

For a last ten punds try the cabbage soup diet. It works for those last few pounds... but keep in mind you will gain the weight back when you resume your normal eating... without exercise. You can only do this diet for about a week to ten days at a time anything more could be dangerous. Just search for cabbage soup diet on the net. Don't pay for the diet either... you can get it free on the net.

i really really really hate exercising too. but i like figure skating. maybe you have a happy medium you haven't thought of?

at any rate, just being more active might be better. walk around the mall, jump on trampolines, go swimming at a friend's house. there are lots of things considered exercise that are fun.

I also dislike when excercising and I do only at random..I am trying to control my eating and also to I use to intake some supplements in order to feel better, energetic and to control weight..It's simple, drink much water, green tea, take some Gingko and Guarana..Be positive and don't push yourself or count every single morsel..Enjoy life and accept yourself, love youself and you'll see the results..
