p.s to CF-Why do you find it okay for a man to abandon a baby that he created. Do we as women have it that easy?Abortion or adoption was not an option.I stood up for my responsibilities and I do not regret it at all.My son is beautiful, and I am honored to be his mother.I do not waste energy or hold anger towards my sons father, just want him to be just as responsible for my son finacially as I am.

You should take whatever steps are legal to find him and have him prosecuted to the fullest extent the law allows.
One of the biggest problems in this world is the number of irresponsible men that father children and then walk out.
They are in my opinion nothing more than an animal and I don't mean to insult the animals.

I am a mother of an austistic child and I was a single mother when he was born. Here is the deal. ALL of your energy needs to go into raising your child and giving him the love and services that he needs.

Number one, tracking down a deadbeat will only invite a deadbeat into you and your child's life. Neither of you needs that.

Number two, you are building and holding within you anger, resentment and tons of negative energy toward this man and that doesn't benefit you or your son in the least.

The sooner you release this, the happier you will be in the delightful, drama-free relationship you can have with your son. Let the courts deal with the deadbeat guy (even if they fail) and you concentrate on your son.

And, just because you are a single mom now, doesn't mean that you won't meet someone wonderful who will love you and your son and treat you the way you deserve to be treated.

(I'm now married to a great guy and he has adopted my son and I never spent a moment of energy chasing after a guy who didn't want me or my son in his life.)

Good luck to you!

leave it alone, if you got pregnant to somebody you were not married to and decided to continue the pregnacy anyhow then YOU made a choice to be repsonsible for the baby... leave him alone
if a woman gets pregnant out of wedlock and keeps the kid, it should not be the guys repsonsiblity.. lots of women (not saying you) lie about being on the pill... or sometimes condoms break, accidents DO happen, if you kept the baby (verses abortion or adoption) you made a financial decision that he wasnt part of... therefor it is unfair to make him pay
too bad he was a jerk and cheated on his wife though

YOU GOTTA DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO-AND MAKE SURE THE COURT TAKE THE PAYMENTS OUT OF HIS PAYCHECK BEFORE HE GETS IT THAT WAY WHEN EVER HE LEAVES AND GOTO ANOTHER JOB THE PAYMENTS WILL STILL AUTOMATICALLY STILL COME OUT//PRESTO
