it's in the 10 commandments thou shall not commit adultery,that means all sex outside of your marriage is wrong, and if your not married you can't have sex-it's outside of marriage

This is the older view of premarital sex

Fornication is often used in a biblical context, where the word is a common translation of the Koine Greek word porneia, from which is derived the English word "pornography." However, many believe that this is a mistranslation and that the term porneia does not include premarital sex. For example, the Hebrew word "zanah" literally translates out as a man, or woman, who becomes a harlot, an adulterer, and an idol worshiper. However, that particular word does not talk about a couple whom are engaged, or will be.

In the Bible, fornication is forbidden in both the Old and New Testaments (see 1 Corinthians 6:9 ["Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders..." NIV], 18; Ephesians 5:3-5; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; Deuteronomy 22:13ff.). As Friedrich Hauck and Siegfried Schulz state in the Dictionary of the New Testament, (edited by Kittel and Friedrich), "The New Testament is characterized by an unconditional repudiation of all extra-marital and unnatural intercourse with animals. In this respect it follows to a large degree the judgment of Old Testament and Israelite preaching." (Vol.6, p.590).

The Bible was, however, written in an era when societal norms such as arranged marriage were in place. Hence, pre-marital sex has become more acceptable, to a certain degree, in some interpretations of Christianity.

Do you remember the story about Mary (mother of Jesus) and how afraid she was to tell about her pregnancy? This was because even back then premarital sex was considered a sin. It is kind of contradicting isn't it....because why did God chose a virgin to be the mother of his son? Confusing, but.....although I can not tell you a passage that says premarital sex is bad....Mary's story and her fear of being accused of premarital sex is a good example that it is something you should not practice, because it can get you into a lot of trouble. It has to do with the fact that you can get pregnant or contract a disease. These are fears that are older than Genesis.

Mary conceived Jesus through "premarital sex" with the Holy Spirit. Well, not literally not in the same way sex by humans do, but you get the idea. Isn't it ironic that our Lord God Almighty would conceived his Only Begotten Son through a sinful act? Well maybe it is God's way of telling us humans that it doesn't really matter. That marriage is just a ceremony invented by our forefathers to secure attachment with his/her partner.

Thou shall not commit fornication/adultery. One of the ten commandment. Fornication for the unmarried and adultery for the married. Check it out yourself.

I don't know, but hey, it isn't premarital sex if you have no intention of getting married. ;-)

Not to mention, since I'm gay, ANY sex I have is always going to be premarital, since I'm not allowed to get married. Woot for loopholes!
