As you look around at some of these girls ecpecially asking for help on line in yahoo questions...why is there such vile and piggy remarks made on answers when its so obvious the person is really hurting ? and most of them are men who are saying these toliet bowl remarks ....How come ?

they have no life. the point of this whole yahoo answer thing is to SERIOUSLY answer the questions because they can really mean a lot to someone, it can change a persons life with an answer, and also it could save someone from danger or something. some of these questions (SOME) are actually serious like a rape or something and some people just say something like "suicide" or something. its horrible how some people have nothing better to do but tell a person to kill themselves. I find it horrifying and I report them when they do such a thing.

As far as one of the answers you received, this is entertainment, I could not disagree more.
Y/A is a public service format that allows people to share their thoughts and concerns.
Those people thatt are asking questions deserve nothing less than a truthful answer and one that is given out of respect for their individuality.
I can't help but wonder how many people have had their day ruined by some idiot giving a sarcastic and thoughtless answer.
It may be true tha I may not understand the question fully but I always try to answer it truthfully.

No, it isn't "obvious" people are hurting.
I've seen lots of people who invent personal tragedies and post them on the I'net. The most common (for girls) being "I was raped." followed by, or in conjunction with, "I was beaten."
Apparently, some girls feel the need to project their rape or masochistic fantasies on the Internet.
People who do that are worse than a rapist or batterer because they trivialize serious issues just to amuse themselves at other people's expense.
Rebuttal:
I have witnessed more than one person posting stories of personal tragedy on the I'net that are revealed to be false when the details become known.
Obviously, your experience on the Internet is very limited if you seriously believe all these stories are true.

Survival of the fittest. In since you are taught about animals killing the weak and stupid ones. In being cruel this is the way humans toughen up or break the weak. How many do you think after a horrid response get tougher and emotionally stable. Sometimes it takes that kick to make us realize we need to be stronger, so those kinds of people won't triumph over killing another weak person.

For the same reason that Howard Stern is King. Shock answers often have an alluring yet sick quality to them. This dichotomy of nice and cruel is what makes them answer that way.
