I'm sorry to hear about your dog. If she is uncomfortable or in pain, please consider that you will do her a big favor by having her put to sleep. I recently took a friend's cat in to be put down, and it is quite painless. First the Vet will give the animal a shot of "Valium" ( or something similar) that puts her to sleep. That is given a while to take effect,. When the animal is asleep, the Vet then gives an injection which stops her heart. All in all, it is a much kinder way then letting an animal suffer. Often the most truly caring thing we can do to a pet when they are sick and/or old and feeble is simply to let them go with love.

Having had so many over 30 years, your maggie will tell you if the pain is too much. When that happens, do help her to cross over to the bridge by talking her to the vet to be put to sleep. Until that time, love her!
Sorry--it's hard to give them up. I feel for you.

Love her! Be with her! Make sure she is not in pain! Remember, she probably just wants to be with someone but know that if she is in pain, it is only you being selfish, if you try to keep her around! Be with her when and if your vet "puts her to sleep" so that you are the last thing that she sees before she closes her eyes!

spend lots of time with her but i would also take her to the vet to see if they think she is suffering or not if she is i would put her to sleep. it's hard i've had to do it twice and have also come home to a dead dog. neither is easy

I am so sorry. If she is in a lot of pain, the kindest thing to do is to have her put down. If she does not seem to be in a lot of pain, just love her, spend a lot of time with her, keep her warm, give her her favorite things to eat.

maggie is suffering as you know, and i know it's painful to you to see her suffer my best advice is to have her put to sleep to end her suffering it's humane think about it this way maggie is suffering and more likely in pain why have our animal friends suffer and be in pain because we dont want to part f rom them

spend as much time as possible with her because you won't have much time left. do wt ur dog loves to do most that doesn't require constant excercise. let her do whatever she wants. just cuddle up together and give her plenty of treats. also let her no that you love her very much.

I feel for you... Been there, done that.. Sometimes all you can do is let them know that you love them. Let them know that it is OK, to go. And hardest of all try to stay calm. I held my beloved wolfdog De-o-gee while he passed on. It was one of the hardest things I ever did. I'll be praying for you, both! :-(

By getting her put to sleep so she is comfortable!!!! Waiting until she goes on her own is for you, not her.
