First of all you need to at least get your hair trimmed every six weeks. It will help control or even get rid of your slit ends.
If you are wanting your hair to grow not getting it cut will not help it grow any faster or longer for that matter. Your spitting ends just makes your hair get shorter and shorter as your hair splits.
As for straightening... I would use matrix sleek look Shampoo and conditioner. They also have a smoothing conditioner as well to use with a flat iron.
If you are going to use or purchase a flat iron I recommend you purchasing a very good ceramic flat iron.
I have a paul mitchell flat iron and is very good. Of course I do not think that you want to pay $150 for a flat iron..But there are good flat irons at sally's beauty supply that you can purchase. Or even try ebay.
Best of Luck!!!

I would say use a flat iron..............but if you don't have one...then after you are done takin a shower put some baby oil or some straightenin serum on your hair so it doesn't get damaged and then blowdry it until the heat make it straight ( blow dry while you are combing your hair) or you can just put this special spray I got at Sally's Beauty Supplies and it doesn't cost a lot, it makes your hair smooth and not greesy, well after you don takin a shower leave your hair wet and put the spray all over your hair and comb your hair str-8 and leave like that so when your hair dries up it will be str-8. You can use the Flat iron, butit would cost even more split ends, so I highly recomend that you use things I told you, and you can buy everything at Sally's Beauty Supply. It Has Everything. Oh yeah... if while you make your hair str-8, the split ends stick out then you might have 2 just trim them carefully.
HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!!

Okay I'm so with you on this one cuz my hair is super wavy and I straighten it every day.
First, go get a trim for your split ends. It will make it less painful to brush and straighten.
Second, get a nice flat iron. I got mine at Sally Beauty Supply for like $30. The brand is "Helen of Troy" You don't need to get one of those $100 ones so don't let anyone tell you that.
Third, get some kind of straightening lotion. I use "Hang Straight" by Aveda. After you wash your hair and towel dry it, put a dime size amount of straightening lotion in your hands and rub them together, then run your fingers through your hair. Then blow dry your hair straight (it will probably look crazy and frizzy). Then warm up your flat iron on its hottest tempurature (I use it on 10) and then, take like 1 inch sections of hair, brush it out so theres no knots, and then take the flat iron and slowly pull it down the section of hair. It may take more than one time to get it soft and silky. Then do that to all of your hair. I start by putting my hair in a pony tail and leaving a little hair out at the nape of my neck, and work my way up.
It used to take me forever but now I can flat iron my hair in about 10 minutes and it looks great.
I hope this helps!!!!!!!

Get a haircut for split ends... and then buy a straightener... get one with ions and use it in the morning (or before going out) to straighten your hair. Depending on the length you can use some sculpting wax to make it have more straight angles around your face and such. good luck.

I would have the split ends cut. Unless you do that, they will look frizzy, and your hair will grow better when you do.
As far as straightening it, I bought a get flat iron on eBay that my stylist uses for 1/2 the price and it works great with flat iron spray. The hotter the temp the better.....

My straightening iron is my best friend! Get a ceramic and ionic one for the best results and also use a leave in conditioner. Trim off your split ends first so they won't get any worse.
Good Luck!

Just run a straightener through your hair. That will do the trick.
If that doesn't work take a shower and blow dry your hair until it is completely dry and brush it out.

hair cut for the split ends.
big, round, boar bristle brush and blowdryer.
if you use a flat iron , please make sure you protect your hair from heat with something . or you will end up with more split ends and you'll need more cut off. it's a never ending process and your hair will not get any longer (if that's what you want).
