And why would saying bye bye to godey be such a bad thing? I’ve done it and I feel great because I know the truth and I know I know the truth because I have evidence and theists don’t and that makes me feel all smug inside.

you seem to be so smug in your belief of evolution. there is no proof whatsoever of it happening. adaptation is different. bacteria becoming immune to antibodies is adaptation. humans do this all the time. the bacteria aren't changing into anything different, they are still bacteria.
there is no evidence in the fossil record either to support your idea. in fact, all evidence in the fossils says otherwise. there is no common ancestor of humans and primates. nowhere. lucy was an oversized chimp. neanderthal man is equivalent to modern man in brain capacity, body structure, and everything else, what's the difference? you can't use the tooth of a pig to create an entire skeleton of a human, that is called fraud (piltdown man).

try these FACTS: dr. frederick hoyle did a study on the probablility of a single-celled lifeform through means of random process from the beginning of time. the likelihood of this happening is 1 in 10 to the 40,000 power. (anything over 1 in 1050 is considered scientifically impossible). hoyle stated, "evolution is nonsense in the highest degree"
the co-discoverer of DNA, francis crick; did a similar study on the chance of one single strand of DNA happening by random chance, but the results came that the chance is so small that it is nonexistant (so close to zero it's actually there)

the alternative? intelligent design. all evidence points to a young earth. if the earth is millions of years old: why hasn't it stopped spinning yet? it slows down every year? why hasn't the sahara desert taken over the plant yet? it's growing by the day? why have we never seen a single star form? why hasn't the moon left us yet? it gets farther and farther away every year?

other science would ask: why do some heavenly bodies rotate counter-clockwise if they all resulted from the big bang? (according to the LAW of angular conservation, they should all be spinning the same way) why isn't there a huge vacuum (present after any explosion); but the universe is instead expanding? (refer to newton's LAWs of relativity) why would the population curve put the start of humanity at about 4500 years ago, if we've been around for millions? why is the oldest tree (also the oldest living organism) only 4500 years old?

use evolution to explain morality, emotions, intelligence, abstract thought, love, etc. you can't. the only plausible answer is intelligent design.

anthony flue, once the greatest known and most highly revered atheist; writing over 30 books on the subject is an oxford double-doctorate with numerous other degrees and awards. now a theist. the clincher? intelligent design. unless you think that you're smarter than this guy (and it doesn't look like it from your grammar, spelling, and theology) study a bit more before you go bashing theists.

"when science finally comes to the top of this mountain of truth, it will see that religion has been there all along."

It is true that some people have blind faith. However, you should realize that many people DO have evidence to back up their faith. You say that you know the truth, but I think that you have a lot of searching to do. No human is omnicient. A good book to read if you're open-minded is "The Case for a Creator" by Lee Strobel. And I honestly don't know how you can truly feel great inside after having turned away from God....it's a scary feeling to think that we're alone.

Someone once said "I'll show you 100 people who will testify that their lives have been radically changed by their belief in God. Show me 15 who will say the same improvements have been made by their lack of belief." Also Pascal's wager says this: If there is not a God, and I believe, then no harm done. If there IS a God, and I do not believe, I would be in a world of trouble. Better off to believe :)

Then you're completely ignorant about logical analysis, because if you knew anything about rigorous thought, you'd know that it's impossible to prove that something doesn't exist. An intellectually honest man would know better than to even try. Feel smug if you please, but don't insult my intelligence (or yours) by suggesting you can prove a negative.

You can't prove evolution, but yet it's taught
Can you prove Napoleon existed...and how?
Can you prove King Henry VIII existed...and how?

Spend more time disproving God's existence...and you may end up finding Him.

the truth is different for everyone. for someone who's life turned around the minute they got saved, that's proof enough for them. I don't buy into it, but I actually believe that we are all one, and if we learn to connect to people during our lives, then we get to rejoin the one spirit after life, and if we don't, we wander aimelessly searching for the one spirit. it's a personal philosophy I gained during an acid trip.

He who has put away evil, who is humble, free
from impurity, self restrained, versed in knowledge,
leading a holy life,
That man may be truly called a Brahmana.
For him there are no desires anywhere in the world.

Every year there are people that die because of a gas leak in their house.
They couldn't see it or smell it but they died anyway.
Not everything that is true can be proven to our small, puny little brains.
That doesn't make it any less true.
