I fully agree with terrorismbuster. The Global terrorists i.e. the Zionist today are therefore against Quran as they see Jesus message perfectly preserved in Quran and they see the noble character of Mary in Quran and they know that if people studied Quran their mischevious tatics will fail. Therefore they attack USS Liberty and kill US marines and blame Muslims for that. They do 9/11 and blame Muslims for that. They do london blasts and blame Muslims for that and they attack train in Spain when Spain said that it would withdraw its forces from Iraq and blame Muslims. The Zionists are abusing USA, UK etc. armies for their explitation of the poor and oppressed. Jesus could read and write very well. He spoke so wise at birth that the Zionists got the shcok of the world but still they did not obey the God. Mary was not given any trouble at all by young Jesus and she could worship the Lord un-hindered as the God had accepted the prayer of the mother of Mary when Mary was in the womb of her mother. God accepted the prayers and accepted Mary as His worshipper. He made her free of service to husband and service to the child. The third part of the prayer has to fulfilled which asks for the protection of the progeny of Jesus. Jesus when comes back, will mary, have children and then die a natural death. Of course God is not man and He does not get fatigued or tired and does not have any weaknesses. To call anyone son of God is a very henous crime agaisnt hte honor and respect of the God All Mighty and jesus will deny on the day of Judgement that he ever uttered such words.

God wrote the Ten Commandments with a finger of fire. He both could read and write.
Jesus, the Son of God wrote in the sand when the men wanted the woman stoned for something they were equally guilty for. He read from the Torah (Bible at that time.)
He read the Word and discussed what was written with the elders at age 12 and amazed them with His knowledge. His language is still spoken and if He were to pick up a paper in His old earthly community, He could read it even today. Lets face it God created Heaven, earth, all the creatures on it including us. When He created Adam, He either taught Adam or endowed Adam with a smart mind. He brought all the things He created to Adam and Adam named them. So God is a teacher, reader, writer, Creator, builder, life giver and you can add many more to the list. And I think it is a shame that His creation tends to keep trying to make themselves smarter than their Creator just as satan tried to. Just telling it like it is folks.

The Best source on life of Jesus (Peace be upon him) is Quran and not the bibles which have undergone so many changes. And the original language of Bible died about 300-400 years after Jesus (PBUH). The next best source is the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The next best source is Gosple of Barnabas which was banned completely by the followers of rabid Rabi Paul who was the worst enemy of Jesus. After Jesus he continued his venom in the disguise of personality worship of Jesus.
Jesus was the cuttest child according to Quran. He spoke like adults at birth. He was given the torah and Injeel at birth so he could read and write. Jesus spoke bravely agaisnt IMF and WOrld Bank of that time and launched a movement agaisnt Usry and Interest which were the main exploitation tools of Zionist then too.
Zionists got mad and tried to kill him but miserably failed. The God A ll Mighty saved him as the traitor's face became like Jesus and he was hanged instead of Jesus. The Paul, the bitterest enemy of Jesus borrowed the concept of "son of God" from some Jewish tribes who used to regard Prophet Uzair as "Son of God" and pasted this on Jesus (PBUH) in order to kill the very message of Jesus (PBUH). But again they failed as the God sent the final messenger Muhammad (Praiseworthy, Comfortor) as predicted clearly in Torah and Injeel and Quan was given to him which was final edition of all divine books and hnece fully protected in its orginal language for last 1450 years and yet as fresh as when revealed on Muhammad. Muhamamd as opposed to Jesus could not read and write and the book was given to him peicemeal when he was forty. Muhammad (PBUH) remembered th entire book by heart. The book shook the Arabs who were so very good in language and they knew well that it is not a human book. Quran being the protector of all divine books removed all dirt and dust put by men in earlier books. So the best place to know the history and the message of Jesus and Mary is no doubt the Quran.

Yes,as a perfect man he was indeed able to do both.
Luke 4:16-18 tells us: "And he(Jesus) came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias(Isaiah). And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised" He was quoting the Scripture found at Isa 61:1.
At John 8:6-8 we are told:"But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground."

Jesus is often described as being a Rabbi or teacher, so it's likely he could read & write.

Maybe... either that or people that were literate wrote down his preachings while he talked. You could always build a time machine and go back a couple of million years to find out! :P If you do decide to build one then make sure you have cup holders... I spilt my soda all over my best jeans on my way back to the Renaissance Period. Grrrr... that stain never came out...

Jesus was raise by his parents, mary and joseph. and like any logical parents, as he grew, they most likely taught him how to read & write.remember, althought Jesus is God, he was 100% man.Which means he had learn like us, he thirsted like us and felt emotion like us. Thats all part of being human.

Of course he could; he was able to talk religion with the rabbis, and could not have done it without those abilities.
Plus, how could the Son of God be illiterate??
