I would think something was wrong with you if you didn't feel that way. I am so sorry for your lost. I lost my children several years ago. The healing process takes time and everyone has a different way of dealing with it. Remember the good times with your dad and cherish those memories with all your heart! Those wonderful memories are priceless. Just keep in mind, no matter where you go or what you do, your dad is always watching you from above.

Yes it is normal. My Dad and Mom died almost three years ago and I still get upset about it sometimes..alot of times. I loved my Dad very much, Mom too but I was closer to my Dad. When I hear certain songs or see certain things I think about all the fun we had when he was here. Sometimes I cry still. He was the perfect man to me. So, try not to feel sad but glad that you loved him so much and try to remember the happy things. Your Dad would not want for you to sad.

im sorry for your loss. my condolences to you and your family... when a father dies, i bet it feels like a half of you died also. and of course you will be depressed because it would be very hard to fill that void again. it will take time to get used to not seeing him anymore...
give yourself some time to mourn. you deserve to mourn... you cannot lock all these up inside you. but what i would suggest is that make a room where you can put all your dad's belongings in there. because when you see your dad's stuff everywhere, it will just remind you that your dad is no longer with you. but you also have to tell yourself (eventually) that you have to move on, you don't have to let go and forget all about your father, but you have to tell yourself that life goes on. your dad is in a place right now where nothing could go wrong anymore. he is probably worried about you being unhappy and depressed... and you can also pray to God to help you get through it faster and give you a sign that your father is ok (for your peace of mind). prayers are always answered when you believe and have faith.
i feel for your loss. i could not imagine myself losing a father and moving on really quickly. i'd probably be depressed even more than you are now.

Yes....very normal.
My dad died in 1988 and I did not get word of until 1990.
He was serious drunk...and I get a bit depressed at times.
My Mom died nearly two years ago and sometimes I get a bit depressed about.
Perfectly normal.

U have lost ur dad n might be due that u may feel depressed.thats quite normal.nothin to worry about it.But u should be ready to accept the reality.might be it stays a tedious process.but accepting the reality as soon as possible is quite good.Try to divert ur concentration on ur work.Find some time to relax urself with ur family.
Tak ur family to some vacational place. That may make u refresh urself.Don tak things more complicated or serious.Do this and u ll feel the difference slowly.Good Luck.

Sweetheart,my dad has been gone since 94 & I still have problems with it. My childhood was very rough, but he was my dad. Just know that he's in a better place & not suffering anymore. If you ever need to talk, please,PLEASE contact me.I'll be here to help you in any way I can.You don't have to go through it alone. And sometimes a stranger is easier to talk to than family.Just remember this OK? You're in my thoughts.

i'm so sorry.....of course its normal to feel depressed .its obvious you loved your dad and that he loved you too....you have every right to feel depressed ,angry at the world, pissed off.
theres a old bedtime story that basically says that whenever someone dies they turn into a star ;and the first star you see every night is that person ,watching over you ,taking pride in your accomplishments, comforting you when you are down and feeling depressed when you are depressed.......your dad may have left the world but he'll never truly die.....he'll be there with you forever.
