If you want to remove the software then go to control panel>add/remeove programs to remove your software.

If you are asking us about the process,then here it goes when software is installed it is registred with its parameters in windows registry.or even then *.ini can be stored in windows/system folder depending upon software if it works close to operating systemlike driver etc.If it is general browser or text editor then very few files regarding the envirement and resources are stored.

When you try to remove these softwares these working files for that program are removed from your disk.

by using the add/remove programs from the control pannel. that will open an uninstall file, and remove nearly all the files, and details from the windows registry.
